Miss Kirby
16 years teaching English literature in Newcastle
- 🇦🇺 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
- Our Lady of Peace High School
- 2008 to 2019
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and eleven years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Miss Kirby
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Miss Kirby: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me English literature in 2017 at Our Lady of Peace High School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
