For 44 years I have been the social studies teacher at Mecca Girls' School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,940 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
