I taught music at Dar es Salaam Primary School in Dar es Salaam from 1992 to 2015. Most days I taught Year 7, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 620 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
