I taught home economics at Depok Public School in Depok from 2006 to 2016. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
