Miss Demir
Economics and religious studies teacher, Istanbul
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- 1990 to 2022
- English, Turkish
For 32 years I was the economics teacher at Istanbul Boys' School. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Miss Demir
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Miss Demir: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
