Miss Darwish
Taught history at Cairo Public School
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Cairo Public School
- 1984 to 2018
- English, Arabic, French
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 34 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Miss Darwish
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

I'm a pilot now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Kano.

You taught me history in 1994 at Cairo Public School. I still remember the end-of-term party. Truly.
