Miss Basnet

15 years teaching home economics in Lalitpur

  • 🇳🇵 Lalitpur, Bagmati, Nepal
  • Starlight Grammar School
  • Since 1986
  • English, Nepali
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 40 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 2,080 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Miss Basnet

If you were in my Grade 6 class, you probably remember the quiz night we nearly won.
What gifts mean to Miss Basnet: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
