For 28 years I have been the geography teacher at Pioneer High School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Miss Alam: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
