For 31 years I have been the home economics teacher at Andes Technical College. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 710 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
