I taught design and technology at Hanoi Girls' School in Hanoi from 1992 to 2014. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Minh
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
