Minato Ren Yamada
Tiling, done properly
- 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
- Holy Cross Shop
- Since 1985
- Japanese
I've worked in tiling since 1985. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,070 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I garden badly but happily.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Minato
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Minato: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
