Mina Indira Tamang
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇳🇵 Butwal, Lumbini, Nepal
- Butwal Sports Club
- 1991 to 2001
- English, Nepali
I coached chess at Butwal Sports Club from 1991 to 2001. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
