I've been a nurse for 37 years, most of them in rehabilitation at Philadelphia Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
