Miles H. Yates
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇿 Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand
- Hamilton Workshop
- 1986 to 1999
- English
I've worked in painting and decorating from 1986 to 1999. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 550 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Miles: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

You fixed our roof in 1992 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Los Angeles.
