For 28 years I was the French teacher at Los Angeles Boys' School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 1,150 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
