I spent 17 years as a lecturer in computer science at Kilkenny University in Kilkenny. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Mick
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Mick: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
