Michael Bates
Jazz player and teacher in Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Los Angeles Orchestra
- 2014 to 2024
- English
I play jazz and flute. I started in 2014 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 8 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I watch every football match going.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you ever danced at one of my shows, I hope it was a good night.

What gifts mean to Michael: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
