I coached dance at Holy Cross Swimming Club from 2000 to 2017. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
