Mia G. Andrews

28 years teaching history in Auckland

  • 🇳🇿 Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand
  • Ashford High School
  • 2003 to 2017
  • English
I taught history at Ashford High School in Auckland from 2003 to 2017. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer. Over the years I had 590 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Mia

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mia: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me history in 2014 at Ashford High School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on

You probably don't remember me, I sat by the window in 2013. I remember you. Greetings from Jakarta.

I was in your Grade 11 class in 2009. You believed I could do it before I did! Greetings from Hamilton.
