Merve Karakaya
Choir direction and singing teacher
- 🇹🇷 Üsküdar, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Üsküdar Hillcrest Choir
- 2004 to 2015
- English, Turkish
I've played choir direction from 2004 to 2015, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 16 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I fix old bicycles.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Merve
I wrote my first song when I was 17. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Merve: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
