I taught chemistry at Harmony Technical College in Istanbul from 1989 to 2007. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 810 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mert
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
