Merel Van Dam
First-generation students mentor, Haarlem
- 🇳🇱 Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands
- Haarlem Youth Network
- 2008 to 2018
- Dutch, English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 220 people through Haarlem Youth Network.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Merel
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
