Merel Janssen

Shoemaking, done properly

🇳🇱 Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands
Rotterdam Workshop
Since 1990
Dutch, French

My trade is shoemaking. I opened my own shop in 1990 in Rotterdam and I'm still there most mornings. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually. I'm still learning every day.

More about Merel

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Merel: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
