Mercy Temitope Bankole
Oud and singing teacher
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Maple Ridge Band
- Since 1978
- English
I play oud and singing. I started in 1978 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mercy
I write my first song when I was 13. It was terrible and I still love it.
