Mercy L. Galang
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines
- The Angeles Shop
- 1987 to 1997
- English, Filipino
I've worked in weaving from 1987 to 1997. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 250 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I'm still learning every day.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mercy: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
