Mercy Khadija Afolabi
Eight years at Beacon Public Library
- 🇳🇬 Wudil, Kano, Nigeria
- 2013 to 2021
- English, Yoruba
For eight years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Beacon Public Library.
Some of my favorite visitors were children who came for the heating and stayed for the books.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Mercy: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
