Mercy Auma Macharia
Calligraphy and oil painting artist
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- 1993 to 2012
- English, Swahili
I'm a calligraphy artist based in Embakasi. I've been making things from 1993 to 2012 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
I also teach a weekly class at Windsor Print Workshop, which keeps me honest.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Mercy: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
