Mercy Achieng Opio
15 years teaching art in Eldoret
- 🇰🇪 Eldoret, Uasin Gishu, Kenya
- Eldoret Middle School
- Since 1978
- English
For 48 years I have been the art teacher at Eldoret Middle School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
More about Mercy
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mercy: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
