For eight years I was the art teacher at Crescent Primary School. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mercedes
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mercedes: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
