For ten years I have been the statistics teacher at Los Angeles Public School. I teach Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I play music while people worked.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mercedes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mercedes: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
