Heritage Secondary School was my second home. I taught English literature there from 1983 to 2019, mostly the final-year class.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mercedes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mercedes: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me English literature in 2004 at Heritage Secondary School. I still remember the time the class pet escaped.
