Andes Girls' School was my second home. I taught physical education there from 1992 to 2005, mostly the final-year class.
Over the years I had 380 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mercedes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
