Mercedes A. Escobar

Painter, potter and teacher at Bayview Gallery

  • 🇲🇽 Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico
  • Bayview Gallery
  • Since 1982
  • Spanish
I work mostly in illustration, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 1982 at Bayview Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I always make time for a proper cup of tea. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

More about Mercedes

I've had 5 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Mercedes: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
