I've coached cricket at Sacramento Sports Club since 2006. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Meng
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Meng: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
