For 19 years I've run the badminton program at St. Joseph's Boxing Gym in İzmir. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
