Melanie R. Payne

Woodcarving and oil painting artist

  • 🇺🇸 Rockford, Illinois, United States
  • Rockford Gallery
  • Since 2017
  • English
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 2017 at Rockford Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. Most of my work is inspired by folk tales I grew up with. I garden badly but happily. I'm still learning every day.

More about Melanie

I've had 11 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
