I've coached softball at Crescent Sports Club since 1997. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
