Mei Rin Shibata
Master of auto repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇯🇵 Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan
- Sapporo Shop
- 1986 to 2004
- Japanese
I've worked in auto repair from 1986 to 2004. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 970 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mei: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
