Mehwish Afshan Abbasi
22 years teaching art in Sukkur
- 🇵🇰 Sukkur, Sindh, Pakistan
- Oakwood High School
- 1989 to 2024
- English, Urdu, French
For 35 years I was the art teacher at Oakwood High School. I taught Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 910 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mehwish
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mehwish: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You probably don't remember me, I sat by the window in 1990. I remember you. Greetings from Niterói.
