I coached football at Harbor Athletic Club from 1988 to 2005. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
What gifts mean to Mehul: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
