Megumi Sachiko Ando

- 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
- Shinjuku Boys' School
- 1979 to 2011

I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 32 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Megumi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Megumi: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
