Megumi Risa Sugawara
34 years teaching statistics in Shinjuku
- 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
- Shinjuku Secondary School
- Since 1996
- English, Japanese
For 30 years I have been the statistics teacher at Shinjuku Secondary School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Megumi
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me statistics in 2001 at Shinjuku Secondary School. I still remember the rainy sports day. Truly.

You taught me statistics in 2016 at Shinjuku Secondary School. I still remember the snow day nobody expected. Thank you again.
