Megumi Hirano
Social studies and French teacher, Setagaya
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- 1989 to 2015
- English, Japanese, French
I taught social studies at Phoenix Academy in Setagaya from 1989 to 2015. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Megumi
If you were in my mixed-ability classes class, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Megumi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
