I coached softball at Albany Swimming Club from 2001 to 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I'm still learning every day.
