I've been a nurse for 32 years, most of them in school nursing at Thiruvananthapuram Community Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
