I've volunteered with Madurai Community Kitchen from 1997 to 2012. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I'm always reading two books at once.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Meena
We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to Meena: A gift would go toward supplies for our weekly sessions.
