Mazen Hassan Youssef
Upholstery for twelve years in Alexandria
- 🇪🇬 Alexandria, Alexandria, Egypt
- Alexandria Trades Guild
- 2008 to 2020
- English, Arabic
I've worked in upholstery from 2008 to 2020. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 280 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mazen
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mazen: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
