Maya W. Stewart
Calligraphy artist in Chicago
- 🇺🇸 Chicago, Illinois, United States
- The Good Shepherd Gallery
- Since 1978
- English, Spanish
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1978 at The Good Shepherd Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I always make time for a proper cup of tea. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
More about Maya
I've had 5 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Maya: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
