Maya S. Alvarado
15 years teaching religious studies in San Diego
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Gateway High School
- 1990 to 2020
- English
For 30 years I was the religious studies teacher at Gateway High School. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Maya
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Maya: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

I failed religious studies twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you! Greetings from Arlington.

you taught me religious studies in 2023 at Gateway High School. I still remember the quiz night we nearly won. Truly.

you taught me religious studies in 2003 at Gateway High School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly
