I taught social studies and geography at Liberty Technical College, Birmingham. My door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 1,480 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Maya
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Maya: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
